The device (100) has a display unit (20) e.g. disk, for displaying magnitude and including size compared with that of a complementary display unit (30) e.g. dial. The display unit pivots coaxially with an oscillating mass (1). The display unit is actuated by total pivoting movement resulting from the combination of first pivoting movement synchronous to that of the mass and second pivoting movement resulting from pivotal driving of the display unit by automatic winding clockwork movement (10) with respect to the complementary display unit secured to the mass. An independent claim is also included for an oscillating mass for automatic winding clockwork movement.
