The invention relates to a method and apparatus for determining the alignment of a weather station, comprising at least two differently directed brightness sensors (H1, H2, H3, H4). The metrics of brightness sensors (H1, H2, H3, H4) are evaluated as a function of time of day, to deduce the direction and orientation of the weather station.
