The measurement method involves generating a periodically changing measurement voltage across a measuring coil (4), where a measurement current is formed, which is proportional to the current through the measuring coil. The measurement current is rectified and a measurement signal corresponding to the rectified measurement current is detected. A measuring core (3) is provided with another measuring coil, with which a measurement flow is generated, which is superimposed on a section of main flow. An independent claim is included for a measuring device for the measurement of inductance in a magnetic flux density or a magnetic saturation in an inductive element.
