The smoke generator has a cigarette-receiving duct or a hollow cylinder or -tube, in which a cigarette (1) is inserted in vertical, horizontal or diagonal direction, where an electrically working heating element or smoldering element (5) is installed near an end of the duct and an inserted cigarette is burned slowly. An ash collection container is attached to the vicinity of the smoldering element. An air circulating system has a blower or a front opening in the traveling direction, which draws air in traveling direction and passes by the smoking cigarette at a flue- or chimney opening. A mirror element is provided to deflect the light beam and to produce different patterns in the smoke.
