The double-piston engine has a rotating drive shaft (TW) that is inserted into central holes of two holders (i) and is provided with a stroke pane (H). A piston unit is arranged in cylinder, so that the rotary element is unreeled at mutual end faces of stroke pane. The stroke pane is designed symmetrically with central mirror pane. Both front ends of panes are opposed to each other with respect to a sinusoidal guiding profile, so that a counter-movement of piston units is enabled. The piston unit and components of gas exchange system are arranged oppositely to stroke pane.
