The commutator (1) has connectors (3) comprising a wire receiving portion (4) and a wire catching portion (5). The wire receiving and wire catching portions limit a wire receiving space (10) and a wire catching space (11), respectively. A cross-section of the receiving space is formed such that a height of the receiving space perpendicular to a rotation axis of the commutator is maximum and amounts to half times of a wire diameter. Winding wires do not cross one above the other such that the receiving space extends in a direction parallel to a rotation axis of the wire catching portion.
