Four-stroke engine, particularly air-sucking four-stroke engine, comprises heat exchange space formed between combustion chamber and lower piston chamber, inlet valve arranged in cylinder head and locking valve arranged in cylinder
The four-stroke engine comprises a double-walled cylinder (Z), which has a double walled cylinder head (ZK) and a guide unit (ZF) that allows straight movement of the piston rod (T). A heat exchange space (M) is formed between a combustion chamber (B) and a lower piston chamber (U), where the heat exchange space is arranged between the walls of the cylinder and the cylinder head and completely surrounds the combustion chamber. The inlet valve (An) is arranged in the cylinder head connecting or locking the combustion chamber with the heat exchange space. A locking valve (S) is arranged in the cylinder connecting or locking the lower piston chamber with the heat exchange space. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a four-stroke engine.
