The tool (2) has cassettes (7) fastenable at the circumference of a disk shaped base body (5) for receiving cutting plates. The cassettes are provided at an annular cassette carrier (1) i.e. slit ring, that is releasably connected with the base body, where the cassette carrier is expandable or slidable. The cassette carrier is provided with a turnbuckle (4) for holding the cassette carrier at the base body. The turnbuckle comprises a rectangular base body, which is secured at an end of the cassette carrier and cooperates with a wedge-type slide valve. An independent claim is also included for a tool change device.
