The mill has a crushing mill part receiving a grinding material, grinding a grinding material and providing the crushed grinding material. A safety hood (10) is moved opposite to the mill part for securing the mill part during operation of the mill. The hood is forth and rearwardly moved between a position in which the safety hood is connected with the mill part for supplying the grinding material into the mill part and another position in which the hood is released from the mill part. A moving device moves the hood between the positions.
