The method involves using a power switch (Q0) during the measurement of the switching time with the plant voltage pressurize. The outlet-side voltage at the power switch is phase-selectively detected and converted into low-level signals by using a capacitive interface (2). The low-level signals are time-dependently evaluated by using a recording/storing measuring device (3). The conversion of the low-level signals is performed by using a supplementary adjustment adapter. An independent claim is included for arrangement for measuring the switching time of a power switch in a SF6-encapsulated switchgear for repeat inspection.
