The method involves performing an adhesion test in a test lath of a test tool (1) with a test lath surface provided with a scribing grain (6) during a test process on a component coating. The variable test load is pressed and displaced so that the coating is charged with defined friction, thrust and shear forces. The test load is chosen so that the surface load of coating is operated against unacceptable adverse impacts. The moment of the test tool is monitored and/or change in the moment is detected during the test process for removal of the coating from test lath.
