The array has a fiber amplifier comprising a laser source i.e. multi-mode diode laser stack (1), and a multi-mode fiber (4) i.e. core-pumped single or double shell fiber, where a laser radiation emitted by the laser source couples into a core of the multi-mode fiber of the fiber amplifier. The laser source exhibits a beam parameter product that amounts to 2.4-40 mm milliradian. The laser source is formed by fiber or solid state lasers. The multimode fiber of the fiber amplifier comprises a multi-shed cladding structure with a signal cladding and a pumping cladding.
