The arrangement (14) has an aircraft (10) with a superconductive region (18) for spacing the aircraft from a guide track (12). The guide track has a magnetic field generation device (34) for generating a magnetic field (40). The region comprises a high temperature-superconductive material (24), which comprises superconductive properties at a temperature greater than a boiling point of nitrogen. The region is formed with yttrium-barium copper oxide (30) and/or bismuth-strontium-calcium-copper oxide (32) and/or mercury-barium-calcium-copper oxide and/or thallium-barium-calcium-copper oxide. The superconductive region is provided with a ceramic such as cuprate (28). An independent claim is also included for a method for spacing an aircraft from a guide track.
