The block (1) has a heating channel (2) comprising a wave-shaped heating channel portion (3) for receiving a heating element i.e. heating wire. The heating element is fastened with two ends (13, 14) between two attachment units (6, 7). The attachment units are provided in a flow direction opposite to an end of the heating channel portion. The heating channel is provided with two partial shells with partial cavities. The attachment parts are connected by a straight center line, which runs approximately in a center part in the heating channel. The partial shells are designed as plastic pointed cast parts.
