The method involves providing a demand information which indicates the number of required battery units (3) and their desired charge states for one or more provision time point. One or more battery units are selected, so that each of the selected battery unit is brought within a period up to the assigned provision time point from its current charge state to the desired charge state. A charging of each of the selected battery unit is initiated, so that they are charged to the desired provision time point to the desired charge state. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a battery storage- and logistics system for storing and providing battery units; and (2) a computer program product comprising a program code for executing the battery unit storing and providing method.
