The device has a guide bar (6) connected with an upper end (8) of a bearing bar (10). A lower end (7) of the guide bar comprises a system (5) around which the guide bar is folded in a longitudinal direction of a top open transport container (1). The system rests in an expandable bearing (3), which is arranged in a central part on a long side and a lower edge of the container. Length of the guide bar is dimensioned such that the bearing bar is guided around an upper edge (9) of a transverse side (4) of the container during resting the lower end of the guide bar in the bearing.
