The method involves supplying weights to the route segments for allocating the weight in each route segment. The weight allocation to the route segment is referred corresponding to the point of the applied force of a vehicle or cargo occurred during the journey of the vehicle along the suitable route segment. The certain travel route representing low applications of force is determined based on the weight allocated to the route segment. The weight is supplied for the route segments depending on the type, frequency and strength along route segment. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) computer program product for determining gentle travel route between two geographical locations; and (2) device for determining gentle travel route between two geographical locations.
