The filter arrangement (2) has an oil inlet (3) for supplying an oil to be filtered to a filter element (5), and an oil outlet (4) that is downstream to the filter element. A measuring unit (11) is provided for detecting a contamination degree of the oil to be filtered. The oil inlet and the oil outlet are directly connected for partially bypassing the filter element depending on the detected contamination degree in a fluidic manner. A bypass line (6) is provided for partial bypassing the filter element. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a filter arrangement for oil filtration.
