The helical spring (1) made of fiber-reinforced plastic, has a transport device (2) comprising at least two receptacles (3) for accommodating a spring coil (1a) of the helical spring, such that relative movement of the spring coils in the receptacles is prevented. The spring coils have a detent contour (5) which engages with the receptacles. The detent contour extends the spring coil in each case only over a portion (1b) of spring coil. The receptacles have at least one flexible locking projection (4).
