The front bumper (1) has right and left crash boxes (3) which are respectively inserted into cavity of right and left longitudinal beams (2). A locking collar (18) is secured on wall (17) of the longitudinal beam through screw bolt (14). Each crash box has a cross section transverse to the insertion direction where the occupied portion of head (15) of the screw bolt within the cavity of beam is recessed.
