Crankcase for combustion engine of motor vehicle, has coolant chambers, which are separated in fluidic manner from each other by partition wall that is designed one piece with crankcase
The crankcase (12) has coolant chambers (14,16), which are separated in a fluidic manner from each other by a partition wall that is designed one piece with the crankcase. The crankcase is produced by a sand casting process. One of the coolant chamber has a through flow opening above the coolant chambers, particularly in vertical direction of the crankcase. The coolant is guided from one coolant chamber into the third coolant chamber (26) of a cylinder head (24) by using the through flow opening. The cylinder head of a combustion engine (10) is connectable with the crankcase. An independent claim is included for a combustion engine for a motor vehicle.
