The method involves passing an UV-cured and weather-resistant water soluble ink on a substrate (2) to be printed from a print head (4). Drying and cooling zones of the substrate are changed by flow of air and applying infrared radiation after printing, where the wavelength of the infrared radiation is between 1-4 microns. Temperature of the air is continuously adjustable between 10-150 degree Celsius, where the substrate is provided with a carrier (9) that is provided with replaceable infrared modules (11). An independent claim is also included for a device for drying process and refrigeration of a substrate.
