The system has single X-ray tube (2) emitting inspection radiation (5), a holder (3) i.e. star wheel, holding goods (10, 11) to be examined. Two detectors (40, 41) e.g. surface sensor, are arranged opposite to each other for receiving the inspection radiation. Receivers are received from direction by the detectors, and the goods are moved along a curved path. The inspection radiation withdraws from the X-ray tube on the basis of the main radiation pattern of the X-ray tube under an angle of alpha/2 that is smaller than 45 degree. The goods are arranged in the holder.
