The assembly (1) has a battery compartment (4) that comprise two transverse supports (10,20) extending in a transverse direction of a vehicle chassis (3) and two lateral longitudinal supports (30,40) extending in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle chassis. One of the transverse supports is formed as a protection wall, and both the transverse supports and the lateral longitudinal supports are formed as a framework. The transverse supports define a vehicle wall (6) in the region of a passenger compartment (5).
