The method involves driving two drive systems by using different energy sources. A geographical area is defined. The first drive system in a vehicle is driven at the geographical area. A route is computed and divided into segments. Each segment is assigned to one of the drive systems. The segments in the geographical area are defined that the vehicle in the first drive system is driven before computation of the route. An input device is provided with a touch-sensitive surface (4) that is arranged on a display area (3). An independent claim is also included for a device for defining parameters of a route of a vehicle.
