The method involves producing partial element (3) having limiting surface (5) in which several open-edged recesses (7) are formed and extended. A partial element (15) is provided, and whose contact surface (17) is abutted against limiting surface of partial element (3) so that the contact surface is brought into contact with limiting surface for bonding the partial elements in order to form fuel injection device (1). Several micro-holes are formed on contact surface (17) of partial element (15) for injecting fuel into the engine. An independent claim is included for a fuel injection device with micro holes.
