The X-Y positioning table comprises a final collimator (9) which includes a fiber-coupled laser that is directly coupled with a coupling module (2) or is coupled through a highly flexible multi-coherent fiber cable (4). A carriage is arranged to be movable between different positions, return back to a predetermined position, swivel at a predetermined position and then return back to the predetermined position. The movement steps are repeated in a cycle form for positioning the laser exit modules.
