Arranging welding points in a welded connection of two components, comprises e.g. describing strength of the welded connection over a finite element model with a first set of a predetermined number of first welding points
Arranging welding points in a welded connection of two components, comprises describing strength of the welded connection over a finite element model with a first set of a predetermined number of first welding points, increasing the predetermined number of welding points in the model by a first factor to a second set of second welding points, determining a third set of the welding points from the second set with an amount, which is = predetermined fraction of the amount of the first set, and determining welding positions for the welding points of the third set. Arranging welding points in a welded connection of two components, comprises describing strength of the welded connection over a finite element model with a first set of a predetermined number of first welding points, increasing the predetermined number of welding points in the model by a first factor to a second set of second welding points, determining a third set of the welding points from the second set with an amount, which is = predetermined fraction of the amount of the first set, and determining welding positions for the welding points of the third set by moving the welding points of the third set with higher strength towards the welding points of the third set with lower strength. The third set of the welding points is determined such that the welded connection of the elements of the third set has maximum strength. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a computer program for carrying out the above mentioned method, where a computing unit instructs the computer program, when the computer program is run on the computing unit of a motor vehicle; and (2) a computer readable medium, where the computer program is stored on the computer readable medium.
