The strand (10) has a multi-step transmission (16) provided with transmission input and outputs. A gearbox input is coupled to an internal combustion engine (12). The transmission is adapted to multiple forward gear stages (1-4). An electric machine (14) provides an electric motor drive output, and is connected to the transmission output through a shift gear (26), which comprises two gear ratios (I, II). Longitudinal axis of the engine is coaxially aligned with longitudinal axis of an electrical machine. A driving wheel set assembly (52) comprises two sets of wheels. The shift gear is designed as a dual clutch transmission.
