The crankcase (1) has two cylinders (2,3) that are formed adjacent to each other. The cylinder liners (6,7) are arranged in the cylinder. A web (13) is integral with a base portion (14) of the crankcase main portion, and is formed with a web component (15) and a web component (16). The web component (16) is provided with a material which is different from the material of the web component (15). The material of the web component (15) is aluminum or aluminum alloy and the material of the web component (16) is copper or copper alloy. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing crank case of internal combustion engine.
