The holder has a holding surface that receives the sample carrier. A stopper element is provided with lock faces, so that the position of the lock faces is adjusted by moving the stopper element with respect to sample carrier. The fixed element is attached to stopper element. The fixed element is moved to a position in which stopper element is movably fixed to holder main portion and to other position in which stopper element is immovably fixed to holder main portion.
