The pump (10) has a casing (12) that is provided with a pump chamber in which a rotary piston is arranged for conveying fluid medium. A heat exchanger is associated with the temperature control of the pump chamber by a heat carrier, and is integrated in the wall of pump casing. The pump chamber defines wall or wall portions of the casing. The heat exchanger has a recess that is provided in the wall of casing, and an interlocking cover. The recess is formed in the outer wall of the casing. An independent claim is included for a rotary pump system.
