The power controller (20) has a combination of an electrical power controller (26) and a secondary air controller (28), where an electric power is supplied to a fan unit (16). The electric power and a secondary air stream (34) are influenced with an operation of the power controller. A proportional valve acts as the secondary air controller, which is controlled according to the operation of the power controller. The secondary air stream is released in different positions by an adjustable washer disk, where the position of the washer disk is detected. An independent claim is included for a vacuum cleaner with dust collecting elements.
