The system (1) has a control unit (2) provided with multiple control devices (2.1-2.5) for inputting and/or receiving control information. Multiple terminals (4.1-4.5) are attached to a central unit (3) and partially formed as information receivers for delivering control signals to people. Interface units (5, 6) of the control unit and the central unit are coupled with one another over a digital data connection (8) for transmission a digital central data stream. The interface unit of the central unit unbundles data streams (SDS3-SDS5) from the digital central data stream. The interface units comprise input interfaces formed by a synchronization port, an Ethernet port, Multichannel audio digital interface (MADI) port and/or a substation port. The control devices and/or terminals are designed as modules.
