The plate (1) comprises a layered structure that consists of a base layer (10) formed of a casting compound, an intermediate layer (11) formed of a blowing granule (13), and a top layer (12) formed of casting compound. The granule is mixed with a binder selected from a group consisting of clay, expanded glass, expanded shale or mixtures, and the casting compound is comprised of an aluminum oxide and/or silicon oxide. A laminate layer is provided between the base layer and the intermediate layer and/or between the intermediate layer and the top layer. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a plate.
