The bicycle (1) has an electromotor (10) supplied with electrical power by battery units (9, 16). The battery units are arranged in a cavity of a bicycle frame (2), a bracket (4), a saddle (13) or a handlebar (3). An electronic system of an electrical drive system is arranged in the bicycle frame, bracket, the saddle or the handlebar. One of the battery units comprises a socket for charging the battery unit. A coiled cable is provided in the bracket and electrically contacts rechargeable battery cells, which are interconnected with each other in series.
