An input device (12) e.g. computer or smartphone, is connected with the field device over an interface module (14) FDT/DTM module, for adjusting inputs at the field device. The display device displays data, information and diagnostic messages of the field device. The field device is designed to execute a control program that provides a link to a user when the messages are displayed on the display.
