The mobile wall element (1) has a wall section (3), which is limited by frame strips (2), where two frame strips (4,5) are arranged opposite to each other on the surface of the wall section. One of the frame strips has a holding unit (6,8) for engaging with a holder independent of the wall element. The holding units are designed such that they fix the wall element at a variable distance to the holder. The holding units have two mounting pins (10,11) extending vertically to the longitudinal direction of the frame strips. An independent claim is included for a mobile wall element and holder combination with through holes.
