The device (5) has a reflector arrangement (7) having two reflectors, where the former reflector is arranged in such a ratio to the latter reflector that it deflects a beam towards the latter reflector. The beam is incident on the former reflector under a certain angle of incidence. A fastening unit is provided for fastening the reflector arrangement to a surgical- or inspection microscope (1). The fastening unit is designed at such a distance from the surgical- or inspection microscope and in such an orientation relative to the surgical- or inspection microscope that the reflector arrangement is so positioned from the eye (13) that a beam is incident on the former reflector under the certain angle of incidence and the latter reflector deflects the beam in the direction to the main lens (3) of the surgical- or inspection microscope. Independent claims are included the following: (1) a method for viewing of the chamber angle in an eye without contact-glass; and (2) a surgical- or inspection microscope with a coaxial illumination unit.
