The method involves providing industrial lorries (1) with optical warning devices (3, 4) for optical warning signals (21, 22) and a speaker (17) for acoustic warning sounds (19). Intensity of warning sounds is raised depending on lightness of a brightened environment, where the warning sounds are switched-off in a dark environment. The intensity of the optical warning signals is reduced in the bright environment, where the optical warning signals are switched off in the bright environment. Brightness of the environment is determined by a light sensor (20). An independent claim is also included for an industrial lorry.
