The cover (100) has a resilient region (110) stretchable along a longitudinal direction (190) of the cover. A first end region (120) fastens the cover at a first seat or a seat track. A second end region (130) fastens the cover at a second seat, which is arranged in front of or behind the first seat along the longitudinal direction of the cover, and is attached to a seat rail. The cover is transferable from a first state into a second state along the longitudinal direction of the cover. A fixing pin of the first end portion is connected to a holding pin. An independent claim is also included for a seat assembly.
