The device (40) has multiple plate-like or pipe-like temperature control modules i.e. cooling modules, for controlling temperature of a battery (20) i.e. traction battery, which is divided into multiple battery modules and/or multiple battery cells. The temperature control modules are arranged at outer surfaces of the battery. The temperature control modules comprise multiple temperature control medium channels extending in a longitudinal direction of the temperature control modules, where the channels are formed as cooling water conduits and cool air channels. An independent claim is also included for a support structure of a motor car.
