The AS-interface bus system (10) has two bus lines (50,90) to which a first bus subscriber (20, 60, 70) and a second bus subscriber (22, 100, 110) are connected respectively. A repeater (80) is connected between the bus lines. A detection unit (128,136) is adapted to detect an invalid message AS-Interface. The perturbation unit (138) is designed to produce an invalid voltage pulse pair on the bus line in response to the invalid AS-Interface cable in a predetermined manner. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a circuit device for securely generating invalid voltage pulse pair in AS-interface bus system; and (2) a bus device for use in AS-interface bus.
