The fixture has an oscillating system (1) performing cyclical mechanical excitation of a test specimen (6). A generator (12) generates a drive signal with frequency greater than or equal to 5 kHz. The generator and the oscillating system are joined together such that the drive signal is transmitted to the oscillating system. A detecting unit detects changes in material of the test specimen for a predetermined time. The oscillating system is non-positively coupled with the test specimen. Two supports (7) are arranged relatively to each other and arranged relative to a stamp (4). An independent claim is also included for a method for evaluating fatigue behavior of test specimen i.e. carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic.
