The method involves manufacturing a non-cross-linked silicone tube blank (1') by an extrusion process, where the silicone tube blank is extruded with an inner diameter of 2mm-4 mm. The silicone tube blank is spirally wound in a cylindrical mandrel (3). The silicone tube blank is vulcanized in the wound state by supply of heat (Q), and the tube blank is converted into a cross-linked state, so that the cross-linked helical silicone tube is produced. The spiral shape is maintained after removal of the mandrel.
