The roller mill has a rolling mill roller (2,3) and grinding roller drive (5) which are arranged on a grinding table (1). The rotation speed of each grinding roller drives are provided independently on grinding table in which an actuatable clearing device is arranged at preset distance from the rolling mill roller for removing the grinding stock (6) on the grinding table. The clearing device mechanically removes grinding stock dammed up on mill roller. Clearing device has stationary pressurized air lance (10) and movable pressurized air lance (11). An independent claim is included for method for cutting up grinding stock with roller mill.
