The motor car (1) has a lighting device (5) that is mounted in a receptacle (8) and is fixed in a defined end position of the motor car. A sensor device (10) is provided to detect whether the lighting device is mounted in defined end position or not. The senor device is provided with hall sensors (11,12). The lighting device is provided with a headlight (6). An independent claim is included for method for assembly of lighting device into motor car.
