The sensor has a plunger (7) for opening and/or sealing a passage. The plunger is moveable along a grease flow direction (1). A ball (14) includes a spatial position, which temporarily corresponds to a flow. A proximity switch (4) e.g. inductive proximity switch, or a key e.g. micro on/off key, determines the spatial position of the ball. The plunger includes a cone for sealing the passage. The ball is mounted within the plunger in a recess (30). The recess has a V-shaped cross-section. Walls of the recess are arranged forming an angle of 30 degrees at a center line (27) of the sensor.
