The method involves consolidating a predetermined arrangement by a pressing device, in which material pieces (10) are pressed together. The material pieces are planar-interconnected during partial consolidation of the arrangement. The arrangements are deformed into a predetermined three-dimensional shape. A three-dimensional pre-mold is formed from the arrangement by creation of an edge region of the arrangement in an assigned edge region of another arrangement and connecting the edge region of the former arrangement. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced mold.
