The method involves arranging a component (12) i.e. outer cladding element, and another component (14) i.e. roof module, with respect to each other for forming a joint region (18). A sealing medium (16) is applied at the joint region. Component regions (26, 28) comprising edges (30, 32) of the components bordering the joint region are bent toward a joint base (34) of the joint region. The medium is applied into the joint region by a strip-off device i.e. putty knife, where a sealing seam together with other component regions forms a plane that is attached at the bent component regions. An independent claim is also included for a joint arrangement.
